Vogue Shots: building everything an events company runs on

My agency has built for Vogue Shots since November 2024. In August 2026 I joined them as tech lead, so now I look after all of it: the platforms that run their events and the booths guests queue up for.

The brief

Vogue Shots turns events into experiences: weddings, corporate events, photobooths, Xylo bands and House of RSVP. By their count, more than 2,000 events across 12 cities and 3 countries, for over 200 brands including Balenciaga, Adidas, L’Oréal, Nykaa and Puma.

Every activation needs tech that works first time, in a crowded room, often offline, with guests who won’t wait. What started as one build became a whole set of products. As tech lead, I own how they all fit together.

What runs on it

  1. House of RSVP

    Since Jul 2025

The event management platform behind House of RSVP: several ceremonies per event, guest lists from a spreadsheet, WhatsApp invites and RSVPs, message templates, analytics, and separate roles for planners and admins. Recently: broadcasts for corporate events and a WhatsApp-style inbox.

  2. Media: AI portrait kiosks

    2026

Guests register at a kiosk, take a photo and pick a style. An AI portrait comes back framed in the event’s artwork, printed as a 4×6 or a sticker, and sent to them on WhatsApp. The team sets up each event themselves: styles, colour options, prompts, frames and what guest details to collect. One kiosk can run several events, and any order can be regenerated or resent.

  3. Music: a song for every guest

    2026

Staff enter a guest’s name and a few details. AI writes the lyrics, another model sings them, and the guest scans a QR code to play their own song on the spot, or gets it on WhatsApp.

  4. Live printing

    Since Nov 2024

Guests scan a QR code, customise a product in 3D on their phone, and watch it come off the printer from a managed queue.

  5. Booth experiences

    Ongoing

Interactive booths for brand activations, each built for a crowd and a deadline. The details stay between us and the brands.

  6. Receipt photobooth

    Sep 2026

A booth that prints your photos on receipt paper, designed in Media and built in 4 days. Read the article.

The part I love

“Watching a queue form around something that didn’t exist a week earlier.”
