Home For Gud: a Shopify store that tastes like home
A three-ingredient Indian sweet, made for Indians living in the US. Heltr Skeltr designed a store full of warmth. The job was to keep every bit of it in the build.

The brief
Home For Gud makes Sukhdi from jaggery, ghee and whole wheat flour, and ships it across the continental US. Its founder, Aarohi, started it after years of missing the taste of home.
That story is the product. The store had to feel like it, while still working like a Shopify store: fast, easy to buy from, and easy for the team to run.
What I built
Built to the file
Font rendering, spacing and visual effects matched section by section, checked at each breakpoint and at 125% and 150% zoom.
Animation inside Shopify
Lottie inside custom Liquid sections, loaded only as it scrolls into view, so the store stays quick.
Motion that doesn’t show off
Easing and timing tuned to the design with GSAP. Nothing more than the brand asked for.
A founder story that scrolls sideways
Our Story moves horizontally as you scroll down, slowing you just enough for the closing quote to land.
The part I loved
“The Our Story page. Changing the direction of the scroll changed how the story reads.”
